Welcome to this the first ever diary entry from us here at the RSPCA “Leaps and Bounds Appeal” Team.

First off we just want to say a huge ‘thank you’ for taking a look at our brand new site, and the support you have shown us to date. Via our site, you’ll be kept you up-to-date with all the latest news on our appeal. You’ll also be able to see our planned events on Events Calendar, or search for local events on our Events Map. If you sign-up and become a member of our leaps & bounds community, you’ll be able to let us know if you want to take part in any of our fundraising events or register to become a volunteer. You’ll also be able to post comments on our blogs – we’d love to hear from you. Keep visiting us as we’ll be adding new and exciting sections to our site over the coming months.

The Appeal team are here to try and help raise the vital funds needed to help build our Country’s first ever RSPCA Flagship Animal Hospital and Centre. We’ve got just 12 months to raise £3million and on October 4th we officially launched…so the clock is ticking!!!  We urgently need to raise £1,050,000 by 27th October to complete build phase one. We know it’s a big task, but we also know with your help we can do it!! Even by this early stage we’ve been amazed by all the support we have received so we just want to send out a huge hug of thanks for all that you have done so far. We feel so lucky to be playing a part in something that is going to make such a difference in the lives of 100’s of 1000’s of animals, and the idea of being able to take our grand kids to see the Centre (if and when we have them!!!) is just so awe inspiring! Everyday we chat with the team over at the current hospital and centre in Birmingham, and it’s amazing to see how excited they all are….they’re like little kids waiting for Santa at Christmas. They dedicate their lives to these poor animals, and know that when we can make that move to the new place, they are going to able to do just so much more….but we can only do that with your help!
